Bowers & Wilkins 685 S2
The Bowers and Wilkins 685's Loudspeakers
The Bowers & Wilkins 685 S2 stereo loudspeakers are the most prized speaker in our showroom such is its excellent sound quality, slimline styling, convincing build quality and class. From the highs to the midrange and lows, 685 S2 compliments all music types and works with a wide range of brands of electronics, it is our first choice with entry-level stereo systems ready for their first speaker upgrade. The 685 model has always been the one to aspire to for many audiophiles on a budget, but now it offers even more musical realism than ever before.
Bowers & Wilkins engineers have employed much higher quality drivers than would normally be possible in a loudspeaker of this price level - we have a 165mm woven kevlar full range driver with centre anti-resonance plug for improved midrange, and a 25mm Nautilus loaded aluminium tweeter which has double dome/ring technology with gel cushioning which delivers sweet highs and astonishing stereo images. The crossover design has been simplified over previous models as a result of the better quality drivers, which gives this model a level of transparency and finesse rare at this price, together with increased power handling and high sensitivity.
You simply cannot go wrong when choosing this mini monitor, it is so accomplished. Available in black ash or white finishes with a black cloth grille,685 S2 will help make your home stereo system or cinema system sound incredible.
