ProJect Elemental Turntable
Project's new 'Elemental' turntable is a quick and simple unit, requiring no counterweight or anti-skate adjustment due to both aspects already being pre-adjusted. Te new tonearm has barely any mass and is designed for the Ortofon OM cartridge series. All you would need to do to set this beautiful piece of machinery up is to remove it from the box, take off the bearing guard, put the belt on the platter, take off the stylus guard and then plug it in.
The table's sonic success is down to a hidden secret - a central gravity mass point. This is made from factory synthetic stone and is placed directly beneath the platter bearing. It's capable of fully absorbing and removing unwanted rumble and vibration from the motor. This turntable looks to be total simplicity itself while retaining and maintaining high-quality audio standards one would expect from a Project product.
This is the perfect entry-level turntable for any sort of listener, mainly for people who are just starting or finding all their old vinyl collections and wanting to give them a listen. A benefit of getting the Elemental is that it's an easily upgradable turntable so any cartridge/stylus upgrades will be available; if that isn't enough for your standards you can always upgrade to the Essential II

Who is Project?
Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
