Originally intended to partner with the Company's formidable active loudspeakers, the ATC SCA2 preamplifier is equally at home driving a stereo power amplifier, for example, ATC's own SPA2-150. An all-discrete design using low noise transistors and FET's the standard of audio engineering and design is state of the art. Construction standards and attention to detail are staggering - the highest quality components are used, the power supplies are super quiet and over-specified, all circuitry is contained on a single PCB to eliminate wiring for better wound quality- finally, aerospace quality metalwork creates an enclosure of great beauty and durability. With 8 inputs capable of accepting both balanced and unbalanced signals, this preamplifier also has balanced and unbalanced outputs to connect to the rest of your system. An optional high-performance phono stage is also available.

Who are ATC

Formed in 1974 by Billy Woodman to manufacture custom drive units for the professional sound industry, ATC quickly made its mark with the 12″ PA75-314 driver, a design capable of handling more power and producing less distortion at a higher sound pressure level than any other unit on the market. Having established a market for reference quality precision-made monitors, a succession of smaller ATC speakers then evolved, ranging from SCM7s through 10s and 20s. Available in both active and passive versions, they offered elite ATC performance and reliability to many new customers.
