Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier
Audiolab has developed a new amplifier to join their new 6000 series, this is one very versatile integrated amp which needs to set its standards very high, so let's break them down, the 6000A comes with digital and analogue sources, wireless connectivity for any portable devices, a built-in phonostage to compliment your beloved turntable and built-in headphone amplification as well as speaker connectivity. This amplifier can pull of many pros, but it's how exceptionally well it pulls them off. The 6000A is an easy temptation without a doubt.
The 6000A shares a few similarities with Audiolab's 8300A with its rotary controls and large central OLED display, but, unlike the 8300A which cost more, the new 6000A incorporates a high-quality D/A conversion, enabling any digital sources to be connected directly without needing an external DAC. The 6000A has four digital inputs, three line-level analogue inputs, an input for your turntable, a favourite feature, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and a dedicated headphone amp.
Audiolab 6000N Network Streamer
Audiolab's 6000N Play is the ideal way to add high-performance wireless streaming to any home audio system.
The 6000N Play combines the well-established versatility and compatability of the DTS Play-Fi wireless audio platform, found in products from companies such as Rotel, Arcam, McIntosh, Sonus-Faber and Pioneer, to name a few.
The DTS Play-Fi app provides access to a wealth of music services, such as; Spotify, Tidal, HDTracks, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Napster, TuneIn, iHeartRadio and of course Bluetooth. The network player also supports high resolution playback up to 24-bit 192kHz and features the fantastic ES9018 Sabre32 DAC chip, which when coupled to Audiolab's own circuitry, produces ultra-low noise, high dynamic range, high-resolution music.
Thanks to the high-quality Sabre32 DAC chip, the 6000N can be connected to any system via its analogue RCA output. Alternatively, the 6000N can be connected to an external DAC or even to an amplifier with digital inputs, such as the Audiolab 6000A, which features the same high-quality Sabre32 chip.

Wharfedale Evo-4.2 Bookshelf Speakers
Wharfedale's Evo4 Series uses materials and technologies from their flagship loudspeakers, delivering high-end performance without high-end price tags.
The Evo4.2 is the larger standmount speaker in the range, with a 6.5 inch woven Kevlar cone and Wharfedale's new AMT ribbon tweeter paired with a 2 inch soft dome midrange driver, this speaker is incredibly well balanced and powerful. This larger standmount speaker is perfect for mid-sized rooms. The whole range is available in high-quality wood finishes, covering a sturdy, well built, curved cabinet.
The Evo4 Series sits between Wharfedales Award-Winning Diamond 11 Series and their forthcoming, flagship Elysian loudspeakers. This range was developed alongside the Elysian project and benefits from the same extensive research and development. With features rarely seen on products at this price point, such as the substantial, well-built cabinets, the beautifully curved sides and the sophisticated driver arrays.
Evo4's AMT high-frequency unit produces sound in a completely different way to conventional dome tweeters. The ribbon technology uses a large, pleated, lightweight diaphragm, driven by an array of magnets. This is an extremely efficient and accurate method of creating high-frequency sound, allowing the Evo4 Series to have an open and smooth sounding top end, without being overly bright and harsh. This AMT ribbon tweeter is paired with a fast, responsive and detailed dome midrange driver. This soft fabric dome features extensive dampening, venting and a specially designed rear chamber, to allow the driver to sound incredibly detailed, with a wide dispersion to allow you to hear the music as intended, wherever you are seated. This midrange driver is found on all speakers within the Evo4 range, bar the Evo-4.1.
Low frequencies are handled by Wharfedale's low-distortion motor system, paired with woven Kevlar cones to deliver powerful bass that you can both hear and feel. This strong, lightweight kevlar makes the driver both fast and powerful, allowing for accurate and detailed bass which can reach impressively low and loud when needed. The Evo4's bass extension is then extended and improved by the most advanced version of Wharfedale's signature slot-loaded bass port yet. The SLPP or Slot Loaded Profiled Port is designed to extend the speakers bass performance using a carefully designed port in the base of the speaker, which allows the Evo4 speakers to be much more forgiving with their placement, where most speakers would struggle with bass output, the Evo4's will still shine.
