Preserving the exemplary styling of its ancestor, the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Air makes use of a variety of delicate styling improvements when compared to the original Zeppelin, the biggest differences are within the internal circuitry, improved drive units and the addition to Apply AirPlay wireless streaming technology.

The Zeppelin Air features a digital docking arm compatible with the new 5-Pin 'Lightning' Apple connector. When an iPod is docked, the digital data is streamed using a number of new and high-quality analogue devices with a 24bit, 96kHz exquisite audiophile quality digital to analogue converters, which decode the signal an in the analogue domain and results in a much more improved sound quality.

This new docking arm is now able to stream music from wired and wireless internet connections, so that means music stored on your home network, iTunes, PC, Mac, iPod Touch, iPad or iPhone can all wirelessly connect to the dock and pass their digital music streams wirelessly. 

The drive units contained within the Zeppelin have also been improved, and now give a more detailed bass extension, more clarity in midrange elements and a much more spacious and airy high-end. All of the five units are driven from four 25 watt amplifiers. The bass subwoofer is driven from a 50W amplifier and has an improved rear firing flow port reflex loading.

Multi-room music is presented in an easy solution - easily place as many Zeppelins Airs around as home as you feel is required, as they can either play different music in each room individually, when used in conjunction with the appropriate dongle, or put them into party mode and they will simply synchronise together and play the same music in each area.
