We were recently asked to design and install a front projector based home cinema system with 7.1 sound, as the room dimensions of 8m x 5m demanded full coverage for all listeners/ viewers. The projector was housed in a electrically operated lift/ lower device, so that it could not be seen when not in use. Similarly, the projection screen was electrically operated by remote control.

Here you can see the projector lift, which is activated by remote control. When the projector is switched on the projector lift decends and the motorised screen lowers.

An 8ft matt white electric up/down projection screen provides a very large image for this impressive room, note the three B&W CCM684 in-ceiling speakers, which give a very high level of sound quality on both movies and music.
