Bowers & Wilkins produce some of the most well-regarded loudspeakers in the world, having a range of award-winning products in P3 RC (Black)a number of price points. The CM series (Bowers & Wilkins' midrange speaker selection) has recently seen a drastic upgrade; implementing new technologies, new aesthetic and even an entirely new speaker; the CM6. This newly developed CM series has been dubbed 'CM S2 Series'.
The CM1 was released in 2006 as a 'Compact Monitor' hifi loudspeaker option. This beautifully discrete loudspeaker would later be accompanied by an entire series of speakers based upon a similar philosophy. The CM1 S2 sees a number of drastic upgrades to what was already a very capable and well-regarded loudspeaker model. One upgrade is the integration of Bowers & Wilkins' 'Decoupled Double Dome' tweeter technology. This newly developed tweeter construction allows for an even more sensitive high-frequency response, allowing the CM1 to capture the true emotion of every subtle microdynamic and reproduce it to an astonishingly realistic level.
This new tweeter design, combined with a number of meticulous upgrades to the internal components of the CM1 S2 enables a superlative performance with astonishing precision and an exemplary level of power; despite its small and compact size. The CM1 S2 has also had an aesthetic make-over, having removed the visible screw points on the front cabinet for a more flush and sophisticated appearance. This simplistic metal trim design, tempered with your choice of gloss black, satin white or rosenut wooden veneer, allows the CM1 S2 to easily implement itself with existing décor, and becoming an integral part of your listening environment.
