The Inert Turntable Matt is manufactured from Custom Design's famous Acoustic Aluminium and Stainless Steel which has been designed to dampen resonance vibration caused or affecting your turntable.

Isolation is all important, as is suspension and the mechanical design of your turntable. Unwanted energy generated by standard metal platters, or the turntable motor or even sound vibrations from loudspeakers can create a "clouding" affecting your sound. Many turntable platters are manufactured from Mazak which itself resonates constantly.

Custom Design also manufacturer and supply a range of different anti-resonant, performance-enhancing accessories for use with their stands and furniture. Their unique inert mat is made from non-magnetic stainless steel, designed to sit on top of your hifi component to absorb parasitic resonance. Especially useful with CD players, Blu-ray players and amplifiers. The stainless steel material is used in conjunction with an acoustic polymer.
