The SUB E-12 F from DALI raises the bar for subwoofers within its price range, and rivals many subs in higher price categories. The secret to the SUB E-12 F's performance quality is down to the way that DALI have carefully and specifically chosen only the best components and utilised a highly researched engineering and design process. 

The SUB E-12 F features a large 12" woofer, capable of shifting large amounts of air with effortless power and precise detail. The cone itself is built from pure aluminium to allow for a stiff and rigid exterior. The heavy magnet system used by this subwoofer is armed with a huge 4-layer, long-stroke voice coil. In terms of amplification, this active subwoofer uses a powerful 170W RMS Class D amplifier. 

To the rear of the unit, you'll find controls for adjusting volume, phase and the upper cut-off frequency. There's no on/off switch, however, as the subwoofer will power itself up and down depending on signal detection. An integrated limiter aids the subwoofer in protecting itself from overloading.

Who is DALI?

DALI is an acronym for 'Danish Audiophile Loudspeaker Industries'. As the name suggests, DALI is a Danish company that specialises in designing, engineering and manufacturing high-end and intermediate level audiophile speaker units. The company was founded in 1983 by a man named Peter Lyngdorf and has since expanded from the confines of Denmark, and can now be found sold all over the world as a well sought-after brand of speakers.
