The HANA 'M' range of Moving Coil cartridges is among the finest cartridges Hana build, with the Low Output version offering sonically superior performance when paired with a suitable Moving Coil Phono Stage.

There are several advanced features (Over the EL and SL HANA Moving Coil cartridges) that take the performance and musical enjoyment of this cartridge to new heights. The stylus design is a fine ‘Micro-Line’ design, a shape that more closely follows the original cutting head used when a record is recorded, allowing for a longer lifespan than its elliptical counterparts, while fitting more precisely into the vinyl groove to capture the very smallest details, offering better frequency reproduction and less distortion.

The Hana M Series cartridge bodies are made from black polyoxyethylene, a very hard, extremely rigid and strong thermoplastic, creating an incredibly inert and stable cartridge body to allow the intricate inner components to work their best without interference. Hana uses a particular formulation of POM manufactured by DuPont that sells under the trademarked name ‘Delrin’, a material with much improved mechanical characteristics such as better resonance damping and hardness.

Parts such as the front yoke, centre and rear components of the magnetic electro-motive circuit and wires are Cryogenic processed, this is a 'cold annealing' process at near absolute zero temperature, it restructures metals at the molecular level, resulting in lower levels of distortion. The result is a more precise and musical sound.

The Hana brand was developed in 2015 by the established Tokyo-based 'Excel Sound Corporation' which has over half a century's worth of hifi cartridge manufacture experience.
