KEF Q500 Floorstanding Loudspeakers

KEF Q500 Floorstanding speakers
The critically acclaimed Q Series from KEF has won a vast number of awards and exists to showcase KEF's design philosophy of reproducing a quality of sound that's indistinguishable from the actual live event. KEF achieve this phenomenal result by combining intelligent engineering constructs with imaginative design concepts. The Q Series provides a truly immersive sound response, complete with three dimensional imagery of a richness and clarity normally found in flagship loudspeaker models from lesser brands.
The Q500 is KEF's starting floor-stander model within the Q series and utilises the same audiophile-standard of technology and precise componentry found within all Q series models. It also features the new generation of KEF's critically acclaimed Uni-Q mid-frequency/high-frequency driver array, paired with an impressive long-throw bass drive of the same size, and two matching ABRs.
The major difference between the floorstanding models within the Q Series is the overall size of the drivers and the subsequent amount of air and sonic detail that they can push and reproduce. The drivers within the Q500 are 135mm (5.25"), which allows the speaker to move vast amounts of air, while retaining an exceptional level of precision.
They're ideal for the front speaker units of a surround-sound home theatre system, capable of truly filling a room with rich and intricate sonic superiority, complete with a vast and expansive stereo field. When watching your favourite films or playing your favourite video games, you'll notice voices and microdynamics usually missed by lesser loudspeaker models become obvious and articulate. The Q500 provides a large yet superlatively controlled bass extension, adding the right amount of rumble needed for the more intense moments of these films or games.
The Q500 is also ideal for traditional two-channel hifi set-ups, as its impressive capability spans across all frequency ranges without compromise.
