The Black Cube SE II builds upon the high audio standards of the company's original Black Cube SE, seeing improvements across the materials used and the ways in which they are implemented to form a high-end phonostage.

The input stages of the Black Cube Special Edition mark 2 are of similar design to those found in the high-end studio mixing consoles or renowned professional microphone preamplifiers. The RIAA equalisation network of the phono preamp is completely passive, using high-precision foil capacitors and gold-plated connectors for the gain and load setting switches. 

The maximum gain level of the Black Cube SE II is high enough to cater to the delicate nature of even extremely low output moving coil cartridges. Gain and loading can be chosen independently from each other, allowing you to manipulate the nature of the phonostage to best suit your high quality moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge.
