Gold Series 6G is comprised of six highly distinctive models. Each of these is crafted to celebrate and exude the distinctiveness and quality of the Gold Series while adding innovative acoustic technologies that not only move the envelope of performance but heighten both the quality of the craftsmanship and listening pleasure.

With the new HDT, C-CAM cone, FEA-optimised surround and spider designs, plus increased voice coil length, the new Gold Series 6G’s 6- and 8-inch bass drivers exhibit greater linearity, reducing distortion for cleaner and punchier low end. Rigidly secured by a new cast aluminium, lightweight chassis design, it provides the optimum structure with maximum airflow around the drive unit.                                                                                                              

The result of an extensive development process to refine and achieve even greater performance is that the latest generation of Monitor Audio’s MPD III (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) transducer delivers precise high-frequency sound with greater consistency, clarity, and accuracy. The detail achieved makes the music sound lifelike, crisp and real. They are fine-tuned for effortless musicality.

Gold Series 6G’s crossovers have been developed using high-quality capacitors and have undergone hundreds of hours of listening by Monitor Audio’s acoustics team. Many iterations have been repeatedly tested to ensure the smoothest, cleanest audio signal is delivered to each drive unit.

All Gold Series 6 G cabinets are designed to form the most rigid structure possible, which allows the drivers to perform to their optimum capabilities. Coupled with cleverly calculated geometry, advanced bracing techniques and technically accurate crossovers, the cabinets are an important element of the total system under Monitor Audio’s Transparent Design Philosophy.

Completed in beautiful, contemporary high-gloss, painted and a new, more sustainable man-made veneer, offering a significant reduction compared to the carbon impact of traditional methods of real-wood veneered production. The exquisite quality of the Gold Series 6G is the result of paying close attention to even the smallest details. Carefully conceived and delivered with conviction throughout the design, these details combine to make the whole special. The machined aluminium, anodised driver trims are precise and clean; the delicate shadow gaps around them offer a subtle lift to provide an element of sophistication atop the beautifully veneered wooden or painted cabinets.

Providing the most stable platform possible for the Gold Series 6G floor standing speakers to perform from, cast aluminium outrigger style assemblies with steel bracing allow the user to adjust the speaker level with ease.

A machined magnetic top cap hides the hex key adjustment – and with a simple twist, the height of the spike or rubber foot (depending on the floor surface) can be adjusted simply to find the perfect level.

Who is Monitor Audio?

Started in 1972 by the charismatic Mo Iqbal, Monitor Audio began loudspeaker design and production using tried and tested methods available at that time - plastic cone materials, fabric dome tweeters and reflex-loaded braced cabinets. The speakers were welcomed by enthusiasts both in the UK and throughout the World.

Following a management buyout in the 1980s, over the next decade, Monitor Audio expanded its speaker ranges into stereo, surround and in-ceiling/ in-wall plus outdoor speakers to meet the needs of a more diverse, emerging market. At the same time, it embraced metal C-CAM driver technology which can respond to audio signals more faithfully than traditional materials, thanks to its inherent strength and rigidity.

The current Monitor Audio range of speakers is a very successful line-up including the entry-level Bronze range, the mid-market Silver series using C-CAM drivers, the new Gold range delivering high-end performance and lastly the Platinum II range for those buyers who do not wish to compromise sound quality.
