Nagaoka builds all high-precision micro-components within each cartridge specifically within their own factory, this includes the diamond tips, the specialist samarium cobalt magnets, right down to the cantilevers.
Featuring a high specification boron cantilever tipped with a highly polished elliptical diamond tip, the Nagaoka MP-200 will extract maximum detail from your records, whilst delivering bass of great extension together with light, transparent midrange and high registers.
The Nagaoka MP-200 phonograph cartridge offers superior clarity, detail and dynamic contrast. With a super fine polished elliptical diamond stylus tip, the MP200 offers fine detail and clarity, presenting crisp highs and impressive low frequencies with ease, making your music sound the way it was intended to be heard. The powerful samarium cobalt magnet ensures the music flows smoothly, maximising your listening enjoyment.

The MP-200 has been carefully engineered with all in-house components, putting accurate sound reproduction at the top of the list. The cartridge has a low mass boron cantilever and anti-ferromagnetic perm-alloy shield casing, meaning the MP200 is constructed with high-quality parts, it retains all the dynamics and details of the original music, that can often be overlooked on similar, smooth-sounding cartridges.
The MP-200 cartridge remains surprisingly affordable, in spite of its high-quality construction, and compares well against competitors in the same price bracket. The MP200 is an ideal cartridge for audiophiles, as well as anyone looking for a change of moving magnet cartridge for their turntable. The Nagaoka MP200 can offer a different dynamic to your music, elevating it to a new level, and providing new enjoyment to your favourite music.
The time for the stylus replacement JN-P200 varies depending on how often and how it is used. For general use at home, the expected time is between 150-200 hours and by then the stylus will begin to wear and the tone quality starts to deteriorate. It is recommended to replace the stylus as early as possible so you can enjoy clear music and cause no damage to the disc grooves.
The Nagaoka MP-200 is an excellent cartridge for the money and pairs well with a great number of turntables. We have had some great sounding results with the Project X2 and the Rega Planar 6 to name two. Offering a level of detail and depth that must be heard to be believed, the MP-200 will reveal new details in your vinyl collection you didn't know existed. We keep the MP-200 on demo and if you are looking to have a listen, please just let us know.
