Don't let its small stature fool you. While the Atom is the most compact Uniti network player, it still offers a vast range of connectivity options, a rich and room-filling 40 watts of power per channel and the same robust, premium build as its bigger brothers. Atom has been designed and engineered to the highest standard, aimed towards the discerning audiophile listener who doesn't have a space for larger, separate boxes. The Atom is ready to go from the box, requiring only a connection to the WiFi and a pair of quality loudspeakers. 

All digital sources are decoded by the Star's powerful and extremely accurate 40-bit SHARC DSP processor (fourth generation). This processor is managed by a unique Naim software to reduce potential jitter to an absolute minimum as well as up-sample lesser quality formats and files that may be running through the system.

The PMC Twenty5 21i - To kick start off this fantastic series, the Twenty5 21i is the smallest and most compact speaker in this new range, as always when you see a small speaker around this price point, you will certainly not be left disappointed when it comes to sound, the sound from this speaker is something you'd expect out of a much larger cabinet speaker; this is all thanks to PMC's Advanced Transmission Line Technology. The Twenty5 21i is perfect for those small-to-medium listening environments where space is at a premium but still gives you that detailed bass, fantastic mids and very fragile highs with maximum musicality. Placements of these speakers are entirely down to yourself, you can either have them mounted or placed on some stands. Nevertheless, this speaker will offer you maximum flexibility for placement and not only that, but they will also look the part in any sort of environment; this comes in numerous finishes which you can check out above.

We touched upon PMC's ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) technology, to get some context on what this is, it's a technology that uses sophisticated cabinet construction, proprietary drive units, and patented absorption materials and techniques. The benefits you get from this is rather substantial compared to the relatively simple sealed and ported designs currently available elsewhere.

Who is PMC?

Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch. The combination of knowledge and a life-long passion for music led to the production of PMC’s first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor. This design was snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remained the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.

The Atom can be controlled via Naim's app. Once loaded, there will be a 'Rooms' page, find the Atom and you are then ready to browse. The app will come with Tidal (high res streaming app), giving you the ability to search for any song you desire. If streaming songs aren't your personal preference, you can browse over hundreds of internet radio stations or if you've already got a Spotify account, you can use Spotify Connect to the Atom and listen to all your songs from any playlist.
