Naim Headline headphone amplifier

The Naim Headline headphone amplifier is a very high quality, low noise and distortion headphone amplifier designed to give superb musical performance with any quality headphone of your choice, almost irrespective of it's impedance - we have tried it with Sennheiser HD800, HD700, Momentum and also Grado PS1000, GS1000i, RS1i, PS500, RS2i and SR325i with great results. The power output of just over half a watt is more than enough to drive all available headphones to high levels.

Headline is supplied with a high quality captive input cable to allow you to connect it to the tape output of your preamp or integrated amp - it is available terminated with either a 5 pin DIN connector (ideal for partnering with other Naim equipment) or with a pair of RCA phono plugs, ideal for connecting to a wide range of third party equipment. With an input impedance of 50kΩ, the Headline places no load of any significance on partnering equipment.

Constructed entirely from discrete electronic components including matched, low noise, thermally balanced transistors, high tolerance metal oxide resistors, tantulum bead electrolytic capacitors and film capacitors for the best possible performance.

On the front panel is located the volume control with high quality ALPS blue stereo potentiometer, a green power indicator LED and a quarter inch stereo headphone socket. At the rear, things are equally simple, with just a DIN connector to accept power supply from the matching NAPSC power supply (optional extra) and the captive input cable.
