Project Cork-IT Mat

This is a Cork mat designed to fit all Pro-Ject series turntables, except Debut II and III models (the Debut Carbon and Debut S/E 3 are compatible). The use of Cork gives the mat special sonic qualities, well-suited to certain deck/cartridge combinations, and also different room types. The use of cork rather than felt (more commonly found as a turntable mat) is preferred by some audiophiles, as cork causes less 'slip' effect under the record than felt does; allowing for a tighter performance. 

Who is Project?

Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, as all other turntables on the market at that time were at least  £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
