Project Phono Box MM

Further product developments include a range of compact hifi separates, turntable supports, amplifiers, tuners, iPod docks and tonearms.

Project has released their 'Box Design' series; a collective of amplifiers, CD players, iPod docks and more - all of which exist in astonishingly compact cabinets. These compact units can be combined with dedicated shelf cabinets to form a tidy mini-system appearance while retaining the quality and 'ease-of-upgrade' of hifi separates.

These units may be small in stature, but they're anything but small in terms of sound and performance. ProJect's Phono Electronics range consists of a number of different electronic turntable accessories, mainly phono stages and phono boxes, that have been designed to match the appearance of the company's highly-regarded Box Design series

ProJect's Box Design Phono Box MM is the company's entry-level phono stage, designed to work with Moving Magnet cartridges. This unit exists to excel at one job only; to amplify your moving magnet cartridge output to line level. The unit is compact and discrete, as are all of the units in Project's Box Design range. This means the Phono Box MM can be situated next to your turntable or amplifier without being intrusive. Thanks to its well-thought-out dual-mono circuitry, optimal channel separation is present at all times while other specially chosen components include low-noise ICs, robust and dense shielded housing, gold plated RCA connections and more.

Who is Project?

Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least  £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has extended the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
