Project Phono Box USB V
ProJect's Phono Electronics range consists of a number of different electronic turntable accessories, mainly phono stages and phono boxes, that have been designed to match to the appearance of the company's highly-regarded Box Design series. The Phono Box USB V is 0a compact MM/ MC to line level phono amplifier, utilising low noise IC's, and precision components housed in a sturdy metal enclosure for maximum noise immunity, the Project Phono Box II USB has the additional feature of copying you analogue LP's to the hard drive of your PC.
Compatible with Windows, Mac OS or Linux operating systems, the Project Phono Box II USB connects to your computer using USB cable whilst the 16bit precision ADC creates a digital output which can be stored on your computer with the aid of commonly available software. An external power supply keeps it compact whilst minimising magnetic fields which could cause unwanted hum.
Who is Project?
Project started in the hifi business designing and manufacturing affordable stereo turntables in the early 1990s, beginning with the entry-level Debut model. It was a great success, like all other turntables on the market at that time were at least £100 more expensive, without offering a performance benefit. Project has gone on to extend the range of turntables they offer at all popular price points and performance levels, through midrange to high-end models.
