Quad II Classic Mono Valve Power Amp (Pair)
Quad's QII (or 'Quad 2') series is based on the original Quad II amplifier, built by the company's founder Peter Walker in 1953, but now seeing the integration of finer components and materials, more intricate yet effective circuit integrations and a more precise manufacturing process. The QII series features some of the most refined sounding valve pre/power combinations on the market today, retaining the genuine heritage and craftsmanship that Quad have preserved over 80 years of designing and engineering quality hifi.
The Quad II Classic is a monoblock power amplifier, based around the design principles and sophistication of the original 1950s Quad II. A newly developed chassis allows for more room internally for the much larger componentry that the Classic is comprised of. The internals of the Classic are wired by hand and follow a similar topology to the original Quad II power amp. Featuring KT66 output valves, a highly refined and efficient 15 watts per channel is achieved.
