The Elys 2 utilises a pair of parallel wound coils that have been meticulously assembled on custom jigs, allowing for the creation of a fully functional stereo generator. The Elys 2 is then assessed and examined over two days to ensure that all of Rega's strict standards are met before it's packaged or fitted to a Rega turntable. The Cartridge offers Rega's 3-point mounting which makes aligning it far easier. The Elys 2 offers a superior level of stereo imaging and a natural, dynamic sound across the entirety of the frequency spectrum. The perfect upgrade for your Planar 2 and the ideal partner for the Planar 3 and Planar 6 models. The Elys is incredibly easy to listen to and offers excellent imaging and a well-rounded sound.

Rega Rebuild scheme

The unique pivot pad design of Rega cartridges improves performance by eliminating the mechanical joint between the stylus housing and the main body. This vastly improves the tracking ability and stability of the stylus. If you should damage or wear your Rega cartridge, simply return it to us and we will supply you with a rebuilt cartridge fitted with a new cantilever, stylus and pivot pad. Each rebuild is fully tested over two days as a new cartridge would be. The rebuild is sold at a reduced price once you trade in your worn or damaged cartridge and is equivalent to a replacement stylus offered by other manufacturers. If you order any cartridge over £50.00 from Hifi Gear we will fit it for you free of charge at our Hereford store. Just call or email us to book a time to bring your turntable in and we will even give your machine a quick health check to make sure it's running to its best.
