Rega's Fono Mini A2D is a high-quality phono pre-amplifier, designed to be used with and enhance the quality of moving magnet cartridges. The Fono Mini A2D also has an integrated USB interface with analogue to digital conversion, allowing you the functionality of recording your vinyl record collection into your PC if you wish. The Fono Mini A2D features an extruded aluminium case with a user-friendly front and back panel, making the unit both simple to use and superior in sound and build quality.

This is a scaled-down version of the Fono MM and is based on the phono amplifier as used in the award-winning Brio amplifier.

To transfer vinyl to your PC, you will need to install a digital audio editor. Such software is widely available as a free download (such as Audacity), from the internet. This is a simple interface which allows monitoring of volume and balance whilst transferring your audio to your PC hard drive. Audio editing software includes a level meter which indicates the output level achieved when playing a piece of vinyl. You should adjust the output as necessary via the ‘Level’ control located on the front panel. Always take special note of record levels to ensure optimum recording quality. The Rega Fono mini A2D is a great upgrade on a lot of integrated phono stages you will find in many amplifiers and can improve your vinyl listening experience.
