REL Carbon Special Subwoofer

Carbon Special is REL's new highly limited model which combines their latest engineering techniques with cutting edge components from their ultimate reference line to create their most advanced special edition subwoofer to date. This moderately sized subwoofer features REL's third-generation 12" carbon fibre driver with an almighty 1000 Watt amplifier and a new bespoke CSP passive driver. This all new subwoofer is housed in a high gloss black lacquer cabinet with highly polished metal and carbon fibre accents.

The Carbon Special has been designed entirely from the ground up, with many elements developed solely for the use of the new special edition subwoofer. REL have used their all new Blackwidow 12" Carbon Fibre driver to achieve absolute stability, rigidity and most importantly lightness. The new driver achieves superior dynamic balance throughout its full range, while still manging a considerable 4 inches of of fore-and-aft stroke.

This new driver is able to handle both nuanced light touches and earth shattering exposive dynamics like no other, thanks to its bespoke NextGen5 1000 Watt Class D amplfier, derived from their No25 and G1 MK2 Subwoofers. Directing all of this power is REL's new CS perfectFilter, a new, custom designed variant of their filter to provide truly rich and deep bass with delicate highs and powerful lows. These components are housed in a sturdy high-gloss black lacquered cabinet with superb rigidity and stability.

Who is REL?

REL subwoofers are engineered to deliver deep, powerful bass in both stereo and multi-channel systems. Even full range loudspeakers can often not extend to the lowest bass frequencies, which reduces the impact and involvement for the listener in both music and movie playback.
