The third generation of the R1 retains the same icon appears as its predecessors and builds upon the units versatility and exceptional sound quality. Certain aspects of the R1s aesthetic have also been upgraded, however. The RotoDial has been updated and refined to provide even smoother functionality and a slick look, while the latest OLED display allows the interface to be clear and intuitive to operate. The enclosure itself exists within the same compact and non-obtrusive dimensions, while new lacquer finishes and a crisper front/rear panel design mean the R1's craftsmanship has improved even further than the high standard its first and second versions had set. With its newly rejuvenated appearance also comes a number of performance upgrades, as well as the integration of Bluetooth audio streaming. The new R1 has been painstakingly evolved, making it, we believe, the best and most complete tabletop radio available.

Who is Ruark?

Ruark Audio is a family-owned British company, founded in 1986, well known for their specialist speakers ranges, now specialise in compact lifestyle radio systems. The company found massive success with the launch of their first unit, the R1, which has since evolved into its third rendition. Shortly after the R1 was launched, a multitude of larger and more prolific products began to appear on Ruark's catalogue and soon after, the same products would be seen in kitchens, bedrooms, offices and living rooms all over the world.
