Sonos Playbar

The Sonos Playbar has a slim in profile to match your TV, but housing nine powerful speaker drive units to give deep bass and clear midrange and high frequencies for great speech reproduction, you will notice an immediate improvement in sound quality over built-in TV speakers, which, let's face it, generally sound gutless.

Any source connected to your TV will be played by the Playbar with just one optical cable (supplied) required to be connected to the TV. Freeview, SKY, SKY+, Blu-ray, DVD and games console sound can all be channelled through the Playbar for a massive sound upgrade. Not only that but Sonos Playbar can also stream music from your network, PC or phone and also take advantage of the many online music sources such as Spotify or Napster, Last.FM and Deezer. Internet radio stations from around the world can be played with superb sound quality. If you have existing Sonos speakers or devices connected to your network, Playbar will seamlessly integrate into the existing zones of your music system. For even deeper, room-shaking bass, you can add the Sonos Sub to give your movies and music even greater impact and excitement.

Playbar understands most TV remote controls and can also be controlled from your Smartphone via a free downloadable app, so adjustment of source playing, volume, tone controls and music being played is a complete cinch. If your TV is wall mounted there is an optional Playbar wall mount bracket available which allows you to mount the Playbar discretely underneath or above your TV.

Sonos Sub

The Sonos Sub wireless subwoofer brings a whole new depth and power to your Sonos music system, by increasing the range of bass frequencies and power output of your Play:3, Play:5 or Connect amplifier.

Two force-cancelling speaker drive units are mounted opposite each other to cancel any unwanted vibration, so there are no rattles or buzzing to spoil your musical enjoyment. A single mains cable is the only requirement for the Sonos Sub - all other signals are sent wirelessly from your existing Sonos components to the sub. Just plug the sub into the mains wall socket, and the subsets itself up with the help of the Sonos iPhone app within seconds. Automatically adjusting it's output to perfectly integrate with your Sonos system, add as many Sonos Subs as you wish, one per room is ideal. This sub is only available in a gloss black finish. 

Sonos Play:3

The Play:3 from Sonos is a discrete wireless streaming music system which is versatile enough to be put anywhere with horizontal or vertical positioning or even wall mounting if you'd prefer. 

With the Sonos app is very simplistic to use, simply head over your app store and download the Sonos App (Apple Store & Android Store), once downloaded, at the bottom of the screen, press on 'Rooms' and press your Sonos device. Once selected, press on 'Search' on the bottom of the screen and then you have the freedom to search for any song you desire; internet radio, blogs and podcasts are also readily available for you to listen to as well.

The Play:3 is great as either a starting point to a Sonos system or for extending your existing system to a bedroom, kitchen, office or conservatory. You could even set up 2 Play:3 as a stereo pair or why not use them as rear speakers with a Sonos Playbar for surround sound. 

Controlling the Sonos system is simple with free controller apps available for PC/Mac, iPhone/iPad and Android devices. The newly added capability to stream directly from those devices as well as access to all the other great music sources. The controller apps don't interfere with the other operations of the devices so if using your smartphone to control the system your texts and calls will be uninterrupted. You can also play individual music in each room you have Sonos or group the system to more than one room, great for parties, to fill the house with music.

You can add up to 32 Sonos devices around the home to create a simple yet superb sounding music system around your home. The Play:3 uses three speaker drive units one tweeter for high frequencies, two mid-range speakers and finally a subwoofer for deep powerful bass reproduction. This individually coupled with 3 state-of-the-art digital amplifiers ensure there is ample power on tap for most environments.
