Spendor A6 floorstanding loudspeakers

The Spendor A6 is a very high performance loudspeaker capable of filling a large room with very realistic, wide band neutral sound of the highest quality. Featuring a new 180mm long throw bass midrange driver with a very powerful magnet built on a magnesium basket, this speaker can deliver deep extended bass which is tight and tuneful and clear, unclouded midrange of uncanny realism. This driver is reflex loaded by a 4th generation linear flow port which reduces air velocity enabling a much more natural bass reproduction when the speaker is sited close to a rear wall. The 29mm dome tweeter has a very extended and sweet high frequency response making this speaker an unfatiguing and compelling loudspeaker which will reveal fresh detail from your favourite recordings. Connections from your amplifier to the speakers are made by high quality copper alloy WBT four way binding posts - Spendor prefer single wiring of their loudspeakers on the grounds of better sound quality. Short signal paths are guaranteed due to the loctaion of the crossover network behind the WBT terminals, connected via silver plated copper stranded speaker cable. The crossover of Spendor A6 features gold plated conductors for low resistance plus audiophile components for a truly first class audio performance. The cabinet is super rigid to elimenate colouration of the sound, whilst the steel loaded mechanical stability base ensures the entire speaker is inert and low resonance for the most transparent music reproduction possible.
